Cryotherapy
(wart & skin tag removal)

Cryotherapy (or cryosurgery) is the treatment of skin lesions by a cold substance, mainly liquid nitrogen. It is a relatively straightforward, almost painless procedure that involves the short exposure to liquid nitrogen or other cryogens, followed by slow thawing, also known as the freeze-thaw cycle.

This simple procedure treats is used for wart, skin tag and blemish removal.

I use the CryoPen® device for accurately delivering the liquid nitrogen towards skin tags or warts to be removed. The procedure lasts only a matter of seconds; the skin lesion will appear white at first and then thaw back to its original appearance within a minute. Over the next week or two, the skin lesion should scab and fall off. Depending on the nature of the skin lesion involved, it may take more than one procedure for this process to be complete.
